Delegates Sales Executive, Aspermont Limited, Perth, CBD, Inner & Western Suburbs. Aspermont is a global media group, leading in the delivery of premium paid content across all areas of the mining and energy industries. Having successfully launched a new Events Division to work symbiotically with the Group’s core publishing and media assets, we are now expanding the Events Delegate Sales team based in Perth to further grow the events Business.

Position Purpose: Purpose of the role is to call previous attendees and new clients to sell delegate tickets for the events such as Future of Mining Australia. You may also be required to sell subscription products.

You will take responsibility for achieving revenue and end-user targets on our events, and renewal subscription sales targets where applicable. The role is junior-level and while similar previous experience is an advantage, it is not essential. Reports to:  Delegate Sales Manager.

Key Responsibilities: Achieve monthly event delegate sales and renewal subscription sales targets. High volume sales activity. Timely and accurate processing of orders. Tracking and reporting of sales results. Managing a pipeline of prospects and maintaining and updating the CRM system. Relaying clients’ feedback to the Line Manager in 1-2-1 meetings and the wider teams in project meetings.

Essential Criteria: Commitment, tenacity and drive to achieve targets and KPIs. Excellent telephone manner and comfortable speaking to senior decision-makers. Quick learner. Good time management. Ability to build rapport quickly with prospects. Good level of computer literacy.

Desirable but not essential Criteria: Graduate caliber, Previous experience of working in a media or events company a plus but full training will be provided. Understanding of the industry sectors in which Aspermont Media operates. Any additional languages.

Working Closely With: Events department, Subscriptions sales and administration/customer support team, Marketing department, Editorial and advertising sales.

Hours of Duty: 37.5 hours per week. Standard hours are 8.00am to 4pm with a 30 mins unpaid lunch break, however given the international nature of the mining industry, there may be a need to work variable hours.
