Accountant, Employer School District No. 83, Location Shuswap BC, Salary To be determined, Sector Education. Function Accounting and Finance. Contract Type Permanent. Hours Full Time The North Okanagan-Shuswap School District invites qualified individuals to apply for the position of Accountant. The start date for this position is negotiable but is anticipated that the appointment would be effective as soon as possible.

Qualifications: Candidate will be a designated accountant (CPA) or posses a Post Secondary Degree in Business and enrolled in 3rd Level of CPA program. Minimum of 3 years’ progressive experience in a senior financial role. Ability to perform: audit functions, preparation of financial statements, carry out financial analysis, accounting in a complex public organization

Experience in a School District or other equivalent public sector organization would be desired. Salary for this position will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s training and experience and will include a comprehensive benefit package.
