The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) is an independent statutory Commonwealth agency. Our role is to implement the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which will support a better life for hundreds of thousands of Australians with a significant and permanent disability and their families and carers. The NDIS will mean peace of mind for every Australian - for anyone who has, or might acquire, a disability.

We are now seeking to fill a range of expected or future ongoing and non-ongoing APS4 and APS5 Planner roles in a range of sites across Western Australia, noting not all roles will be available in each location:

Our Planners are responsible for conducting planning conversations and risk assessments and making reasonable and necessary decisions in accordance with the NDIS Act 2013.

The core elements of our Planner roles are to: Gather information to make informed decisions within defined parameters. Work closely with participants to identify what current and future supports are required to make progress with a person’s goals and aspirations and enable better outcomes. Provide information to participants and their representatives to identify their goals and aspirations. Conduct planning conversations with participants to create plans to support the goal of living an ordinary life.

Eligibility: To be eligible for employment with the NDIA, you must be an Australian citizen at the time of submitting an application. Successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police History check, and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship.
