Minimum Requirements: Undergraduate qualification (NQF level 7) in Civil Aviation. Min. 3 years Managerial (Assistant Director) experience in Civil Aviation. Valid Code B driver’s license

Essential Knowledge required of: Civil Aviation Act. Civil Aviation Regulations. White paper on Civil Aviation. National Key Points. Public Service Regulations. Public Service Act.

Main objectives; Ensure proper maintenance of airport buildings & related infrastructure; Ensure proper maintenance of airport electrical infrastructure including runway lights; Ensure maintenance of Airport grounds; Ensure backup plans to prevent combat fire; Manager provision of rescue services; Ensure provision of aircraft marshalling services; Manage landing and parking fees; Ensure proper management of SLA’s with private security service providers; Ensure compliance with civil aviation requirements; Manage the establishment; Ensure balance between business and safety objectives; Manage general administration; Manager provision of auxiliary services; Manage provision of financial management services; Manage supply chain services; Manage provision and maintenance of ICT infrastructure & related services; Staff and Staff Performance Management

This position reports to the Director. Physical – No physical demand or hazardous conditions. Working hours – 8 hours per day. Annual Estimated Salary – R697,011.00 . Post Level 11.
