About the role: Your day-to-day as a Bookwell Copywriter would involve supporting all copy and branding needs in a fast-paced startup environment. This includes but is not limited to liaising with external agencies, representing our brand in public relations and marketing materials, speech writing, preparing and giving outstanding presentations from conception through to execution, and the management of a team of up to 30 contractors who support creative content and deliverables for our business partners. You will have a big impact on our business and hold many varied responsibilities grounded in your academic training and experience as a writer and storyteller with excellent attention to detail and commitment to Bookwell’s brand. Please note that compensation will be commensurate with experience and job fit.

Responsibilities: Designing and composing branded marketing materials in correct tone of voice to highlight selling features and capture the attention of beauty and wellness business owners. Working with internal stakeholders to decide brand and grammatical standards for copywriting, documenting standards and communicating internal and external teams and agencies. Conducting quality checks on all written communications at the company and providing thorough feedback when standards not met.

Researching Bookwell’s market both B2B and B2C and conducting tests to determine marketing strategy. Managing and coordinating with up to 30 freelance creative contributors to ensure seamless delivery of products to business partners and communicating account onboarding in adherence to copywriting guidelines. Outstanding knowledge of grammar and the rules of English language, enough to know when to break or not break the rules and comfortable enforcing internally and externally to provide consistent service to business partners. Researching, planning, designing, testing and managing timelines for marketing campaigns via multiple channels in order to increase account engagement, brand awareness and support inbound sales

Representing Bookwell as our beauty and wellness expert in public relations and advertorial campaigns, both in written and television media. Researching and writing fun, informative, and technically accurate pieces related to the products and services on the Bookwell marketplace. Outstanding project management skills and adherence to deadlines.

You should apply if you Have a journalism or advanced writing degree from a top ranked university. Are a wizard at grammar, composition and an outstanding story-teller. Have a minimum of 2+ years work experience as a copywriter at a startup. Have production experience which displays adherence to deadlines and high quality deliverables. Are an excellent communicator and collaborative team player.

Have experience representing brands in written and television media and are comfortable with your public identity being associated with Bookwell. Are highly interested in beauty and wellness with an expert knowledge on the services provided by this industry. Are willing to sign a model release form for Bookwell.
