Johannesburg, Job Type Full-Time, HR GENERALIST: Our client, a construction company is looking for a (Human Resources) HR Generalist to join their team and implement various human resources programs.
Job Overview: What is an HR Generalist? HR Generalists have a broad knowledge of human resources functions, from hiring to onboarding and from employee compensation to evaluation. What does an HR Generalist do? Your role as an HR Generalist will be far from one-dimensional. You’ll undertake a wide range of HR tasks, like organizing training, administering employee benefits and leaves and crafting HR policies. You will use Human Resources Information Systems to ensure all employee records are up-to-date and confidential. And you’ll also act as the main point of contact for employees’ queries on HR-related topics.
The goal is to ensure the HR department’s operations will be running smoothly and effectively to deliver maximum value to the organization as a whole. Ready to work within & outside RSA (African neighboring countries), valid driver’s license. Valid Passport. Duration: 36 Months. Start: April 2019. REMUNERATION: Market Related/Negotiable
Inherent Requirements: Skill-set: Performance Management, Training Management, Maintaining Employee Files, People Skills, Resolving Conflict, Employment Law, Project Management, Office Experience – General, Reporting Skills, Verbal Communication, Administrative Writing Skills, Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.
Proven experience of 05-10 years as an HR Generalist. Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures. Good knowledge of employment/labor laws & practices. Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and other Human Resources programs. Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; HRIS systems (e.g. PeopleSoft) will be a plus. Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality. Aptitude in problem-solving. A desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach. Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, or Organization Development or equivalent. Master’s degree preferred. Specialized training in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety, training, and preventive labor relations, preferred.
