Admin Person Required, Location: Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, Job Type: Full-Time, Introduction: Company in the Shipping Industry requires an admin lady/man! Our Port Elizabeth based company supplies vessels coming to Algoa Bay with provisions and other stores necessary for them to survive at sea for extended periods. We are a small but successful company that has been around for 35 years.
Characteristics: Candidate must be able to work in a team and get along with others. (You will be working in an open area office with 3 other buyers.) Well organised. Knowledge of Port Elizabeth and all of its big suppliers will be beneficial. Good with numbers (adding on mark-ups and converting from ZAR to US dollars)
Microsoft Excel – Knowledge of this programme is a must. All invoices will be typed up in Excel. Good English and email etiquette essential.
Duties: Handling all incoming emails. Responding to enquiries. Printing out enquiries for ladies to quote on. Quotations. (Quotes will comprise of food goods and fresh veg) Sending of all quotes.
Help ladies with ordering of items. Writing out purchase orders for all of the drivers to collect items not kept in stock. Dealing with suppliers over the telephone. Typing up invoices correctly in Microsoft Excel. Dealing with warehouse staff and following up on orders. Package & Remuneration: R6000.00 per month
