Receptionist – Junior, Location: Other, Northern Suburbs, Job Type: Full-Time. Purpose of Position: To welcome customers, screen incoming calls and distributing messages to appropriate parties. Inform company employees when clients have arrived for meetings or appointments.

Educational Competencies: Matric, Minimum 2 years experience in similar position, Tertiary qualification advantageous.

Behavioural Competencies: Able to work under pressure. Multitask efficiently. Communication Skills. MS Knowledge. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Duties and Responsibility: Greet and answer inquiries for employees, customers and visitors and announce visitors. Ensure the reception area and meeting rooms are tidy and welcoming. Record messages, suggesting rewording for clarity and conciseness. Operate telephone switchboard to answer, screen, route calls and communicate messages. Provide general support to visitors. Ensure meeting room is maintained for staff and visitor meetings. Collecting and collating of invoices from suppliers and customers. Offer the visitor coffee or tea if appropriate. To provide ad-hoc administrative assistance to the Line Manager and teams as requested and where possible.

Place telephone calls or arrange conference calls as and when instructed. Relay and route written and verbal messages. Continuously read up and ensure excellent knowledge of all applicable procedures and policies. Filing of all sales invoices accurately and numerically on a daily basis. Ensure you are always presentable. Oversee cleaner ensuring the offices are kept clean per the relevant SOP. Maintains security by following procedures; monitoring the driver’s trip sheet and mileage every month end sending it for payment. Salary: R6000 - 8000
