Chiropractic Assistant/ Receptionist 10-12 hours a week, Newcastle, Maitland & Hunter, Salary $25 - $29.99 per hour, Charlestown Chiropractic. Charlestown Chiropractic is looking for a Chiropractic Assistant to add to our family practice. We are searching for a multitasker who is energetic, friendly and enjoys building relationships with people. We are looking for someone whom has a passion for health and wellbeing. As a Chiropractic Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for our clients, whether over the phone or in person. You are responsible for building rapport with people of all ages, managing the “flow” of the practice and providing excellent customer service. You will have strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and maintain professionalism under pressure. This role will suit someone who wants to develop and grow not just professionally, but personally as well. We are a beautiful practice that takes care of a lot of families with regular clientele. You must feel comfortable with children and be willing to play/ interact with them where necessary.

Administrative duties will include: Greeting clients, Answering/making telephone calls, Booking appointments, Processing payments, Scanning/filing. Maintaining office presentation and cleanliness, Banking, Liaising with other health professionals.

We are looking for someone to be part of our team casually for approximately 10-12 hours per week. The regular hours you would be required to work are: Wednesday afternoons 3pm-6:30/7pm Thursdays 8:30am-12pm and 3-6:30/7pm. Due to the split shift/s involved, this will suit someone local to the area.

You must have flexibility to cover other staff for sick days/leave. This is a small business with only one other Chiropractic Assistant; please keep this in mind if you cannot be flexible to cover. See below our opening hours in relation to this.

Our opening hours are: Mon    8am-12pm   3pm-6:30/7pm Tues   8:30am-12pm Wed    3pm-6:30/7pm Thurs 8am-12pm   3pm-6:30/7pm Fri 8am-12pm

Please note our closing times vary on occasions due to seeing patients in need however we never finish later than 7pm.

Essential requirements: An interest in health and wellbeing, Outstanding time management skills, Good interpersonal skills and telephone manner, Ability to follow instructions promptly, Professional presentation, Basic computer knowledge-we use Apple Macs and Cliniko software, Experience in reception/admin preferred but not essential, Excellent communicator and great at relating to people of all ages, Able to work autonomously, Flexibility is essential to cover within the team for leave Have strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and maintain professionalism under pressure.
