Visitor Engagement Officers - Werribee Open Range Zoo, Melbourne, Western Suburbs, Casual positions ($31.82/hour), Based at Werribee Open Range Zoo. The Visitor Engagement Officer reports to the Visitor Engagement Coordinator and Visitor Engagement Team Leader which forms part of the wider Visitor Experience portfolio charged with the strategic development and daily operations of a conservation-based visitor experience at Werribee Open Range Zoo.

Our key objective is to create a vision that is vibrant, energetic, sociable and thrilling. Our approach to visitor engagement is personal, visible and frequent. The model will enhance the emerging culture that is supported by our people; that connect visitors with animals through our experiences and people. The position will contribute to all face-to-face experiences including encounters - animal, cultural and theatrical, site specific experiences (such as within the African Village) and other experiences as this program develops and grows.  

The successful applicant will be a part of the VE F2F team that supports the quality delivery of all F2F encounters for both Visitor Engagement and Learning Experiences as well as the growing needs of inbound tourism. Delivering roving animal encounters as well as site specific experiences such as the African Village.

The positons will also support our events as well as a peak and off-peak delivery needs aligned to the Visitor Experience Action Plan as well as the delivery of First Aid on site during rostered shifts especially during weekends and School Holiday periods.
