Store Cashier/ Stock Controller, Location: Alberton, East Rand, Job Type: Full-Time.

Responsibility: Greet and direct customers. Provide accurate information (e.g. product features, pricing and after-sales services). Answer customers’ questions about specific products/services. Conduct price and feature comparisons to facilitate purchasing. Cross-sell products. Ensure racks are fully stocked. Manage returns of merchandise. Coordinate with the Retail Sales Representatives team to provide excellent customer service (especially during peak times).

Inform customers about discounts and special offers. Provide customer feedback to the store owner. Stay up-to-date with new products/services. Manage transactions with customers using cash registers. ensure pricing is accurate. Collect payments whether in cash or credit. Issue receipts, refunds, change or tickets. Redeem stamps and coupons. Cross-sell products and introduce new ones. Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information. Greet customers when entering or leaving the store. Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas. Track transactions on balance sheets and report any discrepancies. Bag, box or gift-wrap packages. Handle merchandise returns and exchanges.

Requirements: Understanding of the retail sales process. Familiarity with consumer behavior principles. Knowledge of inventory stocking procedures. Track record of achieving sales quotas. Excellent communication skills, capable of building trusting relationships. Ability to perform in fast-paced environments. Flexibility to work various shifts. Grade 12 at least. Work experience as a retail cashier or in a similar role in sales. Basic PC knowledge. Familiarity with electronic equipment, like cash register and POS. Good math skills. Strong communication and time management skills. Customer satisfaction-oriented grade 12 and above, Female, age between 25 to 50.
