Join a dynamic team of customer service officers who deliver support and advice to employees of the Department of Education, through an Incident Report and Support telephone hotline. About the Health and Safety Directorate.

The Health and Safety Directorate provides practical Work, Health and Safety (WHS) advice and services to our workplaces across the Department. One of these services includes the operation of the Incident Report and Support Hotline on behalf of the NSW Department of Education. The hotline records reports for a range of incidents including police or emergency matters, natural disasters, health and safety incidents, hazards or injuries including workplace accidents.

About the role: You will be responsible for the delivery of efficient and effective customer service through the Departments Incident Report and Support Hotline. You will deliver customer service to employees seeking support or advice in relation to a workplace incident or injury through a telephony hotline service. You will record information onto electronic databases including SHIELD, Safety and Injury Management System, payroll, financial and leave systems in accordance with the Department’s policies and procedures.

You will provide general advice to staff enquiries relating to work, health and safety and workers compensation matters or refer the enquiry to a specialist for expert advice. You will prioritise and coordinate tasks to meet agreed timeframes and competing priorities. You will process information and other related correspondence. About the Department of Education.
