Contracts and Compliance Officer – FIFO, Mackay & Coalfields. Alchemy Recruitment Consulting is pleased to announce a new vacancy for a Contracts Officer to join our prestigious mining client on a 6-month contract. This position will involve management and control of the contractor maintenance system (CMS) for key stakeholders. Initially this position will be very systems orientated and will then develop into contract management. It will suit those with a strong background in system compliance and contracts.

Duties and Responsibilities: Assist in then transition of Vendors from current CMS Checklist to new framework / Site Compliance System technology. Monitor on and off contract execution to ensure both contractor & site personnel comply with all terms & conditions of the Scope. Facilitate On-boarding of new vendors (Reviewing Scope of Works ensuring alignment to Risk Assessment). Auditing of contract partners CMS / SCS ensuring compliance to Safety Health Management System. Provide training for Contract Owners, Supervisors, General Users and Contract Partners. Weekly reporting of Vendor Site Compliance.

Coordinating pre-mobilisation, safety, performance and close out meetings. Coordinate issues, settlement & disputes with Supply & Contract Owners/Superintendents. Identify and initiate continuous improvements on the process. Coach vendor owners in compliance to the system.

To be successful in this role you will require: Experience in contract compliance at coal mine sites. Experience in contracts administration. Strong experience across contractor maintenance system (CMS). Knowledge of engineering contracts. A strong working knowledge of contracts compliance. Knowledge of QLD Coal Mining Safety and Health Act and Regulations. Standard 11 induction. Experience using SAP - financial cost control (highly regarded).
