About the business and the role: Care Forward is an innovative, leading provider of in Home Support Services and Care Coordination for Home Care & Short Term Restorative Care Packages across Tasmania, boasting an impressive two years of growth.  Our interdisciplinary team specializes in wellness, rabblement and restorative care with 19 years of experience in delivering better health outcomes for our clients. This company has grown beyond all expectations and to support continued expansion we are now recruiting in our Launceston office. Ideally you will have previous experience in providing reception and client related services preferably within a health or community care environment.

Job tasks and responsibilities: Provides front of house reception services and first point of contact for Care Forward clients. Support  Care Coordinators in ensuring the client home support and specific programs are focused on person-centred service provision, enabling clients and their careers to continue to live in their community. Provides general administrative support for health professionals working from this office. Skills and experience Selection Criteria: Essential Requirements. Relevant Business/Clerical Qualification or; Minimum Certificate 3 in Aged, Community or Disability Care or equivalent or; Relevant administrative clerical experience in a medical practice, health or community setting.

Desirable Requirements: High-level verbal, written and interpersonal communication and relational skills including: High level literacy and numeracy skills Working with coordinators, clients, carers and family to achieve to achieve appropriate client outcomes. An understanding of community based service provision. Experience in a medical or health professional practice setting as a receptionist or office assistant. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of basic medical terminology. High level computer literacy with experience in word processing, calendar management software (Outlook) and client related data base applications including high level key board skills. An understanding of risk management principles, work place health and safety and continuous quality improvement processes and their application in the work place. Demonstrated understanding of service coordination and service delivery functions in a community setting.

Mandatory Requirements: Two (2) professional referee checks (2) – worked with candidate recently. If required to work with Children - Registration to Work with Vulnerable People/Children Check National Police Certificate obtained within the last three (3) months and provided to be assessed as clear of any prohibitive offences, and on commencement of employment a current National Police Certificate to be provided or obtained that is within six months from date of issue. Thereafter during ongoing employment an updated National Police Certificate is to be provided prior to each three year period from employment commencement date (See Police Checks Policy), and assessed as clear of any prohibitive offences.

Statutory Declaration regarding any permanent residency oversees and no involvement in any prohibitive offences. In the case of persons who are not Australian Citizens, consent to provide visa details to the company for the purpose of the company conducting a Visa Entitlement Check.
