Location: Century City, Cape Town, Job Type: Full-Time. Senior Network Engineer. 1 Permanent Position. 2 Cape Town. 3 R25000- R30000 pm cost to company.

A dynamic company expanding its service offerings in major metropolitan and rural areas, is looking for a dynamic networking engineer to join their team. Their network engineers are responsible for monitoring and supporting our growing WAN network, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades. The goal is to ensure the high availability of their network to provide best in class service to their clients.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Access switch monitoring and maintenance Documentation management. Basic Network Tasks Not covered above. Customer Relationship Management - Internal and External. Client Alerts - Status Notifications, fault reporting. Report Generation.

Requirements: CCNA/MTCNA or equivalent 3 Years Networking Experience. Routing and Switching Experience 1 - 2 Years Network Monitoring and Fault Resolution (Level 1 - 2) Must have a driver's licence

Key Competencies: Ownership of change requests and incidents to determine root cause. Identification and mitigation of various security threats. A knowledge of fibre networking. Good working knowledge of wireless networking. Good working knowledge of VLANs. Network Monitoring and Fault Resolution. Good Communication Skills. Customer Relationship Management - Internal and External. Experience on Mikrotik and Ubiquiti. Working knowledge of QoS, VoIP, routing will be an advantage.
