Operations Supervisor (Experience in Construction and Handyman), Location: Other, Pretoria / Tshwane, Job Type: Full-Time. My client is an international organisation responsible for preserving cemetries and memorials around the World. They are looking for an experienced practical technical supervisor to support management in the day to day structural and horticultural maintenance of war graves and memorials throughout South Africa.

Duties and responsibilities (short version): Support the implementation of prioritiesed programme of essential structural projects and the Office Managment plan Source and procure best quality materials and equipment available locally. Seek suitably competent contractors and manage a competitive tender process. Carry out cyclical inspections on burial sites. Support the evaluation of structural condition of all features and locations against standards and report on it.

Regularly report condition or structural maintenance carried out by third party on behalf of commission. Address day to day maintenance issues. Qualification and Experience. Clean driving licence Code (EB, C or ECI). Public Drivers Permit (PDP). English spoken and written of high level. Relevant experience working in a technical position or recognised technical/ craftsman qualification. Good knowledge of horticultural and structural standards and practices. Previous staff leadership/ management experience.
