Trainee MMU Operator - Hunter Valley, Newcastle, Maitland & Hunter.

About the Role: Stellar Recruitment is currently seeking expressions of interest for Trainee Mobile Manufacturing Operators for positions across the Hunter Valley Region. These positions are drive in and out (DIDO) / residential and will commence on a Monday to Friday roster and potentially move onto an even-time/lifestyle roster once training is complete. Successful candidates must live within 50km of Singleton for fatigue reasons and be willing to travel to different mine sites within the fatigue boundary. 

Mobile Manufacturing Units (MMU) are specialised heavy rigid vehicles that mix and deliver blast product into pre-drilled blast holes on the bench, at a mine site. As a trainee operator and through extensive training you will develop your skills and technical knowledge of our client's equipment and be trained how to operate safely and efficiently.

What you will be doing: Training to operate our client's Mobile Manufacturing Units. Assisting with preventative maintenance. Assist with the delivery of explosive products down pre-drilled blast holes on bench. Working in a team environment to meet customer expectations. Adhering to our client's site safety and other policies and procedures. Acting with integrity and respect whilst always striving to excel in your duties.

What you bring : Mechanical aptitude with the capability, to safely and effectively operate relevant equipment; A valid Heavy Rigid Manual (HR) Licence or willingness to obtain if application is successful; The ability to pass all relevant security checks to obtain a UHL and Dangerous Goods licence; The capacity and flexibility to change to a rostered position and location, day shift only, once you have completed your training, if required by our client; (Essential as these are subject to business demands).
