Brief details of position. Working within the accounts department you will report directly to the Financial Controller. This position is based in Bellville, working in a friendly accounts team environment. You shall assist the Financial. Controllers with the accounts payable service ensuring that creditors are paid promptly and accurately. Purpose of the position. To ensure that the Financial Controllers/Managers are supported in their job roles in order to provide an effective, high quality Accounts payable and purchase ledger function.

Qualifications and experience. The job holder should have proven purchase ledger experience and a thorough understanding of the procedures involved in this type of role. Be proficient on Pastel and Sage accounting systems. Good working knowledge of excel and word. To have strong numerical skills. Competencies and skills for the position. Accurate Diligent. Can do attitude. Good communication and interpersonal relation skills. Hard working Flexible in job role Team player. Be able to multi task.

Main Responsibilities Process daily post, maintenance invoices statements and letters. Processing and obtaining approval of supplier invoices, Resolving supplier invoice queries. Reconciling supplier statements. Capturing supplier invoices on Pastel and Sage. Answering supplier telephone queries. Maintaining good supplier relations. Control of manual payments to suppliers where necessary. Build strong working relationships with both internal and external customers. Weekly fuel reports Weekly trend analysis. Adhoc tasks as and when required. Quarterly stats.
