We need a Level 2 Network Engineer to join our team in the Tesserent Security/ Network Operations Centre (SOC / NOC).

In this role you will: Monitor, manage and deliver customer service requests - requiring daily client communication and updates. Configure and monitor IT networks and respond to incidents. Configure, deploy and maintain switches and routers and associated infrastructure. Troubleshoot incidents and problems to meet client SLAs. Support incident response activities such as incident triage and analysis. Continue to expand on your IT security and networking knowledge.

To be successful in this role ideally you will have: Working knowledge of Linux (command line) - Mandatory. Solid Networking experience (understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model and routing protocols e.g. OSPF, BGP) - Mandatory. An understanding of firewalls - Highly desirable. An understanding of cybersecurity principles  - Desirable. Relevant certifications / degree qualifications in IT Networking or related disciplines - Highly desirable. Had exposure to Technology Change Management process including Project Management - Desirable.

Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to write guidelines and technical documentation. Be comfortable with managing workload during times of stress or escalated activity including impromptu tasking and loosely defined requirements. Be required to participate in out of business hours support once up to speed. Be willing to roll-up your sleeves and learn!
