Attorney / Paralegal, Location: City Centre, Durban City, Job Type: Full-Time. ATTORNEY / PARALEGAL REQUIRED. An established Debt Counselling / Collection Company based in Durban and are looking for x 2 self-driven and legally competent legal collection specialists to join our team! As an Qualified Attorney / Paralegal your main responsibility will be to administer and execute the full Legal Debt Collection function from tracing of Debtors to Default Judgment.

Minimum Qualifications and Experiences: Matric, Degree / Diploma – LLB /B Proc /Paralegal Studies/ LLB Degree. Incentive and Target Driven Proven min. 5 yrs experience as an Attorney / Paralegal. Specialist or similar roll Exceptional writing and Admin skills.

Job Responsibilities: Monitor clerks and collections daily. Negotiate affordable debt repayment plans – with regard to the NCA. Full Knowledge and Experience in the Magistrate/High Court processes and procedure from summons through executions (writs). Knowledge of Bill of Costs – Tariff’s Calculations and understanding of financial planning in terms of household monthly income and expenditure, credit agreement obligations, disposable income, assets and liabilities. Resolve client queries and issues Update account records. Prepare and present reports on collection activities and progress.

Competencies Required: Knowledge of various collection techniques. Fully Computer Literate in Office and database package. Target Driven. Knowledge of collection laws and regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Exceptional negotiating and Problem-solving skills. Remuneration Package: R9000.00-R12000.00 p/m + Benefits
