Location: Other, Northern Suburbs, Job Type: Full-Time. We are looking for a highly organized and energetic Garment Technologist to oversee and co-ordinate the technical requirements of our business across our 5 brands.

 You will need excellent communication skills, healthy understanding of costings & garment technology, fabrics, grading and fits with strong Microsoft Excel skills. You will be accountable for tracking sample development from brief stage from the designer to the sealed sample and deal with all production co-ordination requirements between production (local and overseas), the design team and design room.

Responsibilities: Developing and updating QA manuals. Spec management. Conducting fit meetings and generating appraisal reports. Assessing and approving fit samples, PP samples and shipment samples.

Fabric tests and wash care instructions. AQL reports / Quality audit reports. Liaising with customer’s QA divisions and overseas suppliers.

Requirements: Clothing Management or equivalent Diploma/ Degree 2-5 years of fashion industry work experience with a strong emphasis on garment technology & production Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical and decision-making skills. Proficiency in Illustrator and Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel.

Excellent organization skills required as well as the ability to proactively self-prioritize workflow to ensure deadlines are met. Ability to proactively troubleshoot and problem solve.
