Minimum Requirements: Matric/Grade 12/Equivalent/ (Recognition for Prior Learning). 3 years’ relevant experience  or procurement background. Job Function: Main Responsibilities. Communicate with suppliers in regard to product and procurement thereof. Daily management of reports to monitor stock to ensure that correct levels are maintained.

Responsible for planning of procurement for the category in order to create open to buy by reducing slow moving or sunset stock and managing the allocated budget. Must meet targets which are set. Full accountability for the portfolio. Research of products to ensure we are at the forefront of the market. Work in conjunction with R&D to monitor and check that quality of the products is upheld. Must fully understand all the relevant compliance certificates needed in regard to the category and make sure that all items are fully compliant and that documentation is in place and current at all times

Adhere to company policy in regard to procurement processes and work within the given parameters. Must be able to make competent presentations in regard to the category when needed. Quality and Compliance. Adhere to specified standards, policies, practices and procedures. Use appropriate tools to conduct work, and ensure quality, accuracy and completeness thereof.

Skills & Knowledge: Knowledge of Accpac, Netstock.  Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word and other MS Office programs. Good communication and negotiation skills. Good problem solving skills.
