Location: City Centre, Cape Town, Job Type: Full-Time. The Building Centre is looking to hire two full-time interior designers / exhibition consultants to start work in January 2020.

The Position: Interior Designer & Exhibition Consultant. As an exhibition consultant, you would be responsible for welcoming visitors to the exhibition and assisting them with their interior design/building enquiries.

The position is an ideal opportunity for you to springboard into the industry, advance your knowledge of home building materials and develop industry connections — All while working within an inspiring environment alongside some of the most recognised brands in the industry. The position will also entail the designing of exhibition stands.

Job Requirements: Must have studied (or have experience with) either; interior design, architecture or residential building. Must have a broad general knowledge of residential building materials and products. Must have a keen interest in learning more about residential building materials and products.

Ability to conceptualize, sketch and design exhibition stands. Proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD or similar design software. Positive friendly energy. Enthusiastic about engaging with clients and helping them with their projects. Good communication and writing skills. Good team player.

High-level computer skills are essential. Other information. Full-time position, starting January 2020. Working 5 days per week. Monthly salary is between R9000 and R12000 (basic + training bonuses). Why You Should Apply. Work within an inspiring environment.
