Production Warehouse Manager, Other, Cape Town. We are a dynamic business catering for the needs of large well known  blue-chip retailers in South Africa. We have been operating for some 20 years and have grown extensively in that time frame. We are based in Epping. We take in imported goods which arrive in bulk format, split into individual items, package, barcode and then deliver in a ready to sell format to our customers.

This involves a high level of control and is a fast moving, high pressure environment. We are looking for a dynamic person who will be able to handle the production process for a division within our company. The division incorporates a fast moving customer who demands tight lead times and on time delivery. The job entails understanding what is going to arrive, floor management, storage management, individual splitting, re-packaging and bar coding, and intricate transport preparation management. This is all to translate into on time and accurate delivery. You will manage a team of between 10 and 30 people depending on time of year who need to be micromanaged to ensure efficiency and accuracy.

You will need to have a proven track record in Production / Warehouse management. You will need to be able to work fast and manage various groups doing different tasks at the same time. Our business is reliant upon several channels of income within the process so a high level of administrative skills is important and an ability to work proficiently with spread sheets. Computer literacy will be a requirement.

You will need to be able to work from time to time under pressure. There will be contact directly with the customer so candidates applying for this position that have had experience working directly with the customer will be looked at favorably. Salary: Based on experience
