Warehouse Manager Montague Gardens, Milnerton, Northern Suburbs.

Our fast-growing company is looking for a Warehouse Manager in our Montague Gardens branch, who's self-motivated, tenacious, performance driven and customer service orientated individual with strong analytical skills and attention to detail who is able apply initiative and the ability to work under pressure. We are in the pet industry, so preferably someone who loves animals.

The Warehouse Manager will manage warehouse supervisors and overlooking in excess of 20 employees at a time ensuring that productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly. Over and above warehouse activities the Warehouse Manager will be solely responsible for managing all assets, property maintenance and security.

Responsibility: Operational Management. Efficient management of all operational activities within the warehouse. Initiate, coordinate and enforce company operational policies and procedures. Manage the actual productivity and output of all warehouse operational departments namely receiving, inventory management, drivers and despatch. Management of all production materials including packaging within budget. Production planning from beginning to end, with ongoing monitoring of production progress, with input and improvements when required.

Staff Management: Effective management of all Human Resources activities in conjunction with associated requirements as per the Company’s Human Resources Policies and Procedures. Optimal staff capacity planning and implementation as per productivity   requirements.

Effective timekeeping and absenteeism processes in place. Ensure disciplinary action is taken when required as per the Company’s Disciplinary Code and Procedures.

Customer and supplier Relations: Ensures that each customers’ service level requirements are met in a cost-effective manner. Clear and concise communication with customers when required. Build a sound professional relationship with customers where required. Liaising with suppliers and transportation companies.

Here are the minimum requirements: Matric with a relevant tertiary qualification. Minimum 5 years warehouse experience in despatch, receiving and stock control. Minimum 5 years managerial experience. Own vehicle. Presentation, report writing and data analysis skills. Computer literacy, must be good in Excel, Word. Pastel accounting or similar system experience a must. High energy levels and must be prepared to work overtime and long hours when needed. Salary we offer is between R18000 and R23000. The company will sponsor a proportion towards your medical aid and RA after 6 months probation.
