Production Supervisor, Phoenix, North Suburbs. My client based in Phoenix Industrial is seeking to employ a well seasoned Production Supervisor.

Duties & Responsibilities: Ensures all delivery commitments are met as required and ensure predetermined production targets are met. Responsible for initiating and enforcing company systems, procedures and policies. Must be able to staff his/her production areas correctly and ensure the employees in those areas work efficiently.

Responsible for communicating job expectations, work performance, appraising job results, counselling, coaching, training, disciplining (i.e. time keeping, absenteeism, work efficiencies, housekeeping discipline, health and safety, etc) and guiding employees assigned to him/her.

Responsible to initiate disciplinary hearings. Responsible for planning and allocating work to employees against production schedule and authorized changes i.e. pull forward / push out production. Ensure that a high quality standard is maintained in the department(s). Resolve process / operator related problems, liaison with direct manager if problem is not resolved.

Record, highlight and control scrap and rework. Ensure operation of equipment and tools by enforcing maintenance procedures and calling for repairs on non-working equipment. Ensures that all required consumables and tools are provided to employees to perform their duties.

Responsible to manage and control his/her tools inventory. Ensure a safe working environment and proper working conditions. Conducts tool-box talk meetings / pre-shift meeting with his/her team. Attending daily/weekly/monthly production meetings and gives a report on bottle necks / achievements within his department. Serves as a member of the department head's management team, communicates key organizational issues to staff and relays employee issues to management.

Serves as a member of various employee committees as and when required. Performs duties of subordinate personnel as needed. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment to the position. Any other functions or project work you manager may require you to perform or assist him.

Desired Experience & Qualification: The candidate must have a done and passed courses related to the Metal, Engineering, Manufacturing and related environment. Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment Must have at least Grade 12, with Mathematics and English.

Must be technically minded with experience in a technical/manufacturing environment. Computer Literacy in excel and word is a must. Must be able to speak, read and write in English and have good communication skills. Thorough knowledge of OSHA standards related to Factory Production work. Must have knowledge of ISO 9001 standard and procedures. Package & Remuneration: Based on skills and experience.
