East London, Eastern Cape, Duty Manager (Junior) – East London - Our client a highly reputable Hotel in East London has a vacancy for a Duty Manager to co-ordinate and manages the Department and its offerings. Shift work will be required. Only face to face interviews will be conducted, no skype or telephonic. Must have a valid drivers license and own transport
Requirements: Matric/Grade 12. Formal qualification in Hotel/ Tourism Management. Ability to Speak Xhosa Advantageous. Min. 3 years’ experience as a Duty Manager within a Hotel environment. Previous experience with management of high volume conferences and events is essential. Sound financial acumen required. Must have a valid driver’s licence and own transport. Highly Proficient in Microsoft as well as a reputable POS System.
Duties include: Manage department. Staff management, development and training, Administration, Maintain customer service, Manage floor of restaurant, Back of house liaison with Executive chef, Relate costing, cost of sales and stock control duties, Manage banqueting, conferences, functions and events, Forecast budgets for the department. Salary: R8,000 – R12,000 (depending on experience).
