Human Resources Representative

Position Description:
    Supports regional staffing plans, including college recruiting, intern/co-op, and apprenticeship programs.
    Administers human resources policies, procedures and programs, ensuring legal compliance with applicable laws in region.
    Supports performance management, training and development programs.
    Provides HR consultancy to managers and employees.
    Administers all benefit plans, including health and welfare and pension.
    Participates in grievance resolution, arbitration and assist in negotiations.
Qualifications:
    Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field with minimum five years experience in manufacturing environment.
    Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) preferred.
    Knowledge of labor relations principles and collective bargaining agreements.
    Experience with recruitment and employment principles.
    Knowledge of ADP payroll system an asset.
    Skilled in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
    Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
    Strong computer skills, including database management.b Requirements.
Accountabilities:
Human Capital: Continue to advance Flowserve’s human capital programs and processes designed to enhance our talent acquisition, talent development and succession planning capabilities. Build talent pipeline for Canada to include skilled labour (apprentice programs and technical schools) engineering and sales (college recruiting and intern programs) and leadership. Ensure requisition database is maintained with accurate and timely information for Canada.
Organizational Structure: Work with our business partners to ensure clean organizational structure and clear reporting relationships. This includes jobs scoped and defined at correct levels and pay delivered commensurate with job level and employee contribution.
Business Performance: Work with leaders to manage performance in the region. Identify high potentials and promotables / key bench within the organization; ensure development growth for business we support. Work with business partners to ensure quality documentation and completion of required actions.
HR Operations Leadership: Understand and deploy HR philosophy and policy. Participate and engage in HR knowledge sharing opportunities. Remain current on HR communications, actions & training. Provide expert HR consultancy and leadership to the business leaders supported regarding HR issues and overall plans. Communicate HR related issues and provide appropriate follow up for successful resolution.
Compensation and Benefits: Provide guidance and support to business partners with respect to the compensation program and philosophy. Assist with communicating and supporting any changes that are implemented. Ensure data quality and timeliness. Support data integrity accountability and GEMS as the system of record through completing required audits and timely data updates.
Employee & Labour Relations: Ensure employment practices are deployed consistent with company policies, philosophy and legal /collective agreement requirements. Quick resolution of employee and labour relations issues as they arise.
Learning and Development - Lead the implementation of proactive and responsive training and development programs within assigned business and region that strengthen organizational and individual effectiveness.
