Accounts/Property administrator, Somerset West, Helderberg, Department: Accounts. Period: Immediate - 8 January 2021. Reason: Maternity Leave. SALARY: TBC.

Company: We A Real Estate Company based in Somerset West. We are a very small company with 4 admin ladies, 1 Owner/Principal and 1 Estate Agent. We specialize in residential property rentals, residential property sales and have recently purchased a Swimming Pool Service Company. 

Job Summary: The ideal candidate is responsible for the accounts department within the company. The role is admin/accounts based and is a full time office positon, Monday to Friday: 08:30 till 17:00. Month end is a crucial time in this position and the candidate must be able to work well under pressure and within a time limit. 

Duties Include and are not limited to: Answering Telephones (when other staff are busy/not available). Answering emails on a daily Basis. Corresponding with Tenants, Landlords, suppliers, subcontractors and attorneys. General administration and filing of documents.

Invoicing, receiving and processing monthly rental payments as well as following up on outstanding rentals. Invoicing, calculating, receiving and processing monthly municipal accounts and following up on outstanding amounts. Loading supplier payments on PayProp system.

Invoicing and processing Swim Pool Service Invoices monthly at month end, ensuring all invoices are paid and collect outstanding amounts on Sage One Accounting.

Managing tenant’s deposits- Initial investment until pay out. Month end payments for 3 Companies: Somerset West Rentals, Somerset West Realtors and Swim Pool Service. Monthly accounting and Month end reconciliation for Somerset

West Realtors (Pty) Ltd on sage One accounting and Bi Monthly VAT Returns.

Invoicing for Sales in Somerset West Realtors (Pty) Ltd, capturing all data on Sage One Accounting and corresponding with attorneys. Monthly accounting for Somerset West Rentals. Assistance throughout the office to other departments.

Technology/Computer: Microsoft office (Excel, Word and Outlook). Internet Pay prop (Program rentals runs through). Sage One Accounting (Accounting for Sales and Swim Pool Services).

Experience/Skills: Must have Matric. Hard Working. Work well under pressure. Handle many tasks at one time. Friendly and presentable. Team Player. Real Estate experience will be an advantage. Accounting Background will be an advantage. Office environment. We are a small office with an open environment and we all work hand in hand with each other.
