Cost Accountant, Wellington, Cape Winelands. Our client, who is based in the Winelands region, is looking for a Cost Accountant to join their team.  Experience within the Fruit / FMCG industry will be beneficial. 

Key Responsibilities: Weekly report in preparations of Grower Payments. Weekly preparations of Grower Payments. Loading of Grower payments on bank systems. Sending of payment remittances to growers. Grower payments adjustments update in accounting system. Processing of sales invoicing. Processing of credit notes. Receiving of Customer remittances & apply transactions. Cash flow management in ZAR & foreign currencies. Management of foreign currencies. Monthly updating of standard cost's. Invoicing of cost's back to producers. Management of Balance sheet items, relating to control accounts on standard cost. Various reporting. Bank reconciliations for ZAR & foreign currency accounts. Weekly customer statements. Onboarding of new customers and growers. Processing of commercial invoices & payments. Monthly report on commercial creditors

Requirements: BCom Degree / BTech Costing Degree. 3-5 Years accounting experience. Articles at registered auditing firm preferable. Computer skills and extensive experience in Excel. Experience in data systems on accounting side. Relevant accounting experience & understanding of the fruit industry would strengthen application. Cost accounting & standard cost principles essential. Forex handling and options. Excellent organisational skills, i.e. prioritization key element. Energetic and disciplined. Good people skills & leadership abilities. Precise and accurate - attention to detail a pre-requisite. Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Must have a hard-working mentality/ethic.

SALARY: Negotiable depending on experience and knowledge
