Maintenance Fitter and Turner position available at Spring master. Mount Edgecombe, North Suburbs. Company Name: Springmaster. Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates who meet the following job specifications. In addition to these functions, employees are required to carry out other duties as may reasonably be required). To maintain, repair and install plant machinery, equipment, and facilities to keep the plant running smoothly.

Principle Accountabilities: Repair and maintain all plant equipment and machinery to minimize downtime. Installation and commissioning of machinery and equipment. Attend to machine breakdowns. Execution of planned and preventative maintenance and repairs on machines, equipment, plant and facilities. Handle the refurbishment and modification to existing machinery and equipment.

Report deterioration and wear and tear on machinery, equipment and facilities. Report any potential problems that could lead to line stoppage. Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety rules and standards. Order spare parts. Participate in special plant projects as and when required.

Education/Experience: Matric Certificate or equivalent. Machinist Trade Test Certificate or equivalent with fitting experience of minimum 5 years in maintenance. Experience in hydraulics and pneumatics. Electrical experience would be advantageous.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong mechanical aptitude. Knowledge of General Machinery Regulations. Ability to work independently. Proficiency with manual and power tools. Computer Literacy. Good communications skills. Planning and Organizational Skills. Pay close attention to detail. Troubleshooting skills. Problem-solving and analytical Skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks. Willingness to work shifts. Willingness to work overtime. Ability to perform physical activities. Ability to handle pressure.
