Pest Controller, East London, Eastern Cape. The incumbent will be required to deliver a quality pest elimination inspection and treatment. Must have a valid registration with SAPCA with a P-Number which must be submitted with application.
Minimum Requirements: Valid registration with SAPCA with a P-Number. Valid Code 08 Driver’s license and own reliable transport. 3 - 5-year experience in a similar environment. Pest elimination qualification preferred. Excellent people skills and relationship building. Health and Safety Experience. Experience in MS Office – Excel, Word and Outlook. Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to converse at all levels.
Self-motivated and ability to work unsupervised on own initiative. Strong planning, organizational and prioritization skills. Attention to detail. Time management. Goal and deadline-driven.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver a quality inspection and treatment service. Deliver quality hygiene installation & services. Provide customers with written evidence of service delivered. Advise clients how to maintain pest free conditions. Mix and apply pesticides in accordance with label recommendations and comply with relevant legislation. Plan work routes efficiently and productively. Accurately submit reports and other related paperwork as required at specified time intervals.
Inspect buildings and premises for signs of pests or infestation. Determine the type of treatment needed to eliminate pests. Apply pesticides in and around buildings and other structures. Design and carry out pest management plans. Create barriers to prevent pests from entering a building. Salary: market related depending on experience.
