Tile Installer
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Day
Salary: $25.00 Hourly for 40 hours per week, Other Benefits

Experience: 5 years or more

Type of Establishment/Work Setting Experience: Commercial, Residential
Area of Specialization: General tilesetting (floors, walls, ceilings, etc.), Ceramics, Glass mosaics or murals
Materials Used: Ceramic, Mosaic, Marble, Slate, Stone
Specific Skills: Prepare, measure and mark surfaces to be covered, Mix, apply and spread adhesive substances, Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to base, Align and straighten tiles, Cut and fit tiles around obstacles, Pack grout into joints and between tiles, Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles, Determine best layout of tiles, Reinforce surfaces or build required underbases, Cut, surface, polish and install marble and granite
Additional Skills: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, Handling heavy loads, Bending, crouching, kneeling
