CMT Quality/Production Manager (Clothing) – JHB

This is a fast paced position for an Experienced

CMT Production/Quality Controller. Do not apply unless you have the correct experience. A fast growing dynamic manufacturer.

· Help all in CMT team  with technical information for the production of garments.

· Have pre-production meetings with CMT’s prior to starting production lines

· Pre-production samples to be checked and approved against QC Seal, before starting production

· Ensure the correct machinery is used for specific garment styling as well as suitability of fabric types

· Ensure the sewing line is set up correctly

· Assist with problem solving activities to ensure products are manufactured according to specifications

· Attending to problems with patterns, markers, trims, fabrics and cut sheets, ensuring that it is brought to the Production Manager’s attention for resolution

· First Off - Line to be fitted and approved before commencement of Bulk Production

· Discuss (telephonically) and report (electronically) production updates as well as inspection results daily to the Production Manager

· Ensure that critical path timelines and performance outcomes are met

· Perform in-line inspections and end-of-line inspections on the sewing floor

· Do final inspection level 2.5 AQL once Bulk Production is complete

· Responsible for analysing quality and reject reports, and prepare an improvement plan with the CMT

· Reconciliation of each style produced against final cut figures

Key Requirements: · Matric Certificate/Grade 12 or equivalent

· Certificate in Clothing & Textiles beneficial

· Minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience in a similar role

· Garment construction, cutting and pattern knowledge essential

· Knowledge of sewing machines essential

· A team player who is not afraid to get their hands dirty

· Great eye for detail, and a problem-solving thinker

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Driver’s License

· Must be an expert at doing, who can not only design but also execute.

· Must be entrepreneurial, thrive under change and accept it is a constant and always look for solutions to do something better and faster

· Must be smart, have integrity and be hardworking
