Internal Auditor (CA/SA) - Waterfront, Cape Town, De Waterkant, Cape Town.
A renowned JSE Listed company is looking for an “Internal Auditor” to join their team on a full-time permanent basis for their offices based in the Waterfront, Cape Town.

Key Performance Areas: Draft an engagement letter to the auditee in accordance with the audit plan and submit to Group Internal Auditor for approval. Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and assess compliance with policies and procedures. Preparations of Risk and Control Matrix (RCM).
Plan and priorities own activities in accordance to allocated time and prepare detailed risk based audit program. Execute audit according to the risk based audit program to establish the adequacy of control and the compliance thereof.
Prepare and maintain neat and clearly referenced files of audit working papers: Prepare a detailed draft report addressing the findings, the root cause, effect and the recommendations to rectify, and submit to Group Internal Auditor for review. Discuss findings with client / auditee, process owner and auditee management for factual verification and validation of issues raised in the draft report, and obtain management’s comments and action plans in rectifying the findings.
Provide the client with the draft report as well as the recommendations for the client to comment and indicate corrective actions. Keep abreast of the organisation’s business, developments in the accounting and auditing professions, relevant technical developments, applicable regulations and industry best practice.
Conduct special audit investigations as and when required by the organisation. Provide consulting and advising service to internal stakeholders as and when required, participate in ad hoc or special assignments and other related management requests as and when required.
Liaise with and provide assistance to external auditors as appropriate; Perform follow-up work to ensure that agreed corrective action has been taken;
Requirements: Experience in a similar position, as Internal Auditor. Needs to be a Chartered Accountant (CASA).
