Position Available Retail Merchandise Planner, Umhlanga, North Suburbs. Company Name: Resource Consulting. Our client, a major décor supplier and sub-organization of a major retail outlet, has a vacancy for a Retail Planner at their head office in Umhlanga. Reporting to the Planning Executive, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: Current trade review. Weekly review of Planning data i.e. Store replenishment & Purchasing plans. New stock allocations and overall Management of stock. Plans to reduce Suspended and Discontinued stock. Managing overstocks and recalls. Development of strategic plans and forecasts. Analysis of historical trends patterns and identifying future projections. Post Seasonal and Review sessions.
KEY COMPETENCIES: B.Comm degree or relevant Retail Diploma. Must have 3-5 Years’ experience as a Retail Planner.
PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS: Attention to detail. Excellent numerical and analytical skills with strong data handling capabilities. Ability to work well under pressure. Good organizational and interpersonal skills. Problem Assessment and Decision making skills. Relationship Building and Confidence. Good communication skills and a team player that can cope in a dynamic environment.
