Tasks and responsibilities include but not limited to: Getting quotes from different suppliers at best price for the service needed by the production team; Placement of orders and ensuring timely deliveries by the suppliers so that production is never interrupted; Issuing purchase orders and verifying that the vendors have received; Ensuring that materials are received in a timely manner; Assuring that the acquisition of all goods or services will meet the requirements of the contract as well as government and engineering specifications.
Competencies: Excellent usage of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Excellent telephone etiquette. Knowledge of an ERP system. Experience in the mechanical engineering environment and terminology a must.
