Accountant and Senior bookkeeper, Flamingo Vlei, West Coast. A small, owner managed accounting firm based in Flamingo Vlei, Table View is looking to employ an Accountant to join their team.
Responsibilities: Compile Annual Financial statements. Tax computations and tax returns. Pastel processing for monthly bookkeeping clients. Drafting of monthly management accounts and reports. VAT calculations and reconciliations. Payroll calculations and reconciliations. Preparation of statutory returns – VAT, PAYE, UIF, SDL and Workmen’s., Compensation, Assistance with SARS queries, Dealing with general queries from clients, Assist and train junior bookkeeper where necessary, Assistance with statutory documents – CIPC, Assistance with admin duties in the office.
The candidate must meet the following requirements: Relevant Accounting degree/diploma. Minimum of 3 years relevant working experience. Own reliable transport. Previous experience working in an accounting practice is advantageous. Case ware Working Papers and Pastel experience is essential. Experience in other accounting and cloud-based programmes is advantageous – e.g. Simple Pay, Xero, Free Agent, etc. Computer literate in word, excel and outlook.
SARS e-filing and e@syfile experience is essential
Good communication skills (verbal and written). Must be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and work independently. Must be neat, organized, punctual, hardworking and motivated. Attention to detail is essential. Must be able to deliver client service of outstanding quality. Must have contactable references. Must have a friendly and pleasant personality.
