Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Forklift Operator Certification
Experience: Experience an asset
Work Setting: Retail and wholesale distribution center
Type of Equipment: Lift trucks and fork-lifts, Dollies and hand trucks
Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Type of Operation: Manual inventory control
Specific Skills: Prepare bills of lading, invoices and other shipping documents, Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, Record shortages and discard damaged goods, Route goods to appropriate storage areas, Pack goods to be shipped, Unpack goods received, Affix identifying information and shipping instructions on shipments
