Minimum requirements: Matric (Senior Certificate or equivalent NQF level certificate). Formal qualification in automotive industry. 5 + years’ experience in a fast paced organization. Minimum 4 years’ experience working on VW/Audi/Seat vehicles. Experience using ODDIS diagnostic tool. Must have a code B / 8 Drivers Licence. Engine repair experience.

Key Competencies: Customer service Team work. Follow instructions and attention to detail. Clear and accurate communication. Ability to follow instruction and not have any deviations. Fast learner and quick on your feet. Ability to plan and deliver on time on requirements. Must be able to read Elsawin repair manual.

Duties and Responsibilities: Perform diagnostic or evaluation on customer vehicle, taking details from client issues discussed in assessment. Analyse which parts and tools and utilities will be required to complete the particular job Forecast and further issues that may affect the vehicle and communicate them to customer. Plan repair procedure using drawing, charts and manuals Perform maintenance and repairs. Test all parts installed in customer vehicles and systems.

Perform routine service intervals on vehicles e.g. Oil changes, fuel level checks and tire rotation. Repair and place brake pads , wheel bearings and sensors and other parts. Review diagnostic post the installation of parts and sensors and ensure the readings are clear. Return tools to designated area as you found them. Help clean and organise the workshop. Check utilities stock level and tool shortages and requirements.
