Personal Care Attendant - medical (Resident Care Worker)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Shift, Weekend, Day, Night, Evening
Salary: $13.85 to $17.80 Hourly for 30 hours per week
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island (2 vacancies )
Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school, Some college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training, Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate, First Aid Certificate
Experience: Will train
Work Setting: Nursing or convalescent home
Specific Skills: Take patients' blood pressure, temperature and pulse, Lift, turn or massage patients, Supervise patients' exercise routines, Bathe, dress and groom patients, Transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher, Answer call signals, Collect specimens
Additional Skills: Supply and empty bed pans, Serve meal trays and feed patients, Deliver messages, reports, requisitions and specimens, Make beds and maintain patients' rooms
