Job Purpose: To account for the financial transactions and balances of the Funds utilizing the ICT systems deployed, policies and rules and prepare the financial reports and financial statements in accordance with the applicable financial reporting framework.
Job Specifications: Minimum Qualifications: Diploma or bachelor’s degree majoring with Accounting/Finance/Investment
Additional educational requirements: Post-graduate diploma or Honours degree in Accounting/Finance/Tax/Investmnt.
Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license without endorsements. Travel: No. International Travel Restrictions. Compliance: Security. Clearance: This job requires a high level of security clearance. Working Experience Required
Management/Leadership: A minimum of 2 – 3 years’ experience in Bookkeeping, Fund Accountant, Finance Clerk or other related work in Finance/Tax/Investments. SAICA/SAIGA. Articles will be added advantage. Technical or Job-Related Experience. Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office (i.e. Word/Excel/Powerpoint).
Ability to analyse Financial records, reports and statements. Knowledge and understanding of the Regulatory Reporting Requirements for Retirement Funds, IFRS & IFRS for SME’s. Knowledge and experience with online business banking systems. Knowledge and experience with accounting systems (i.e. GreatPlains, Sage Pastel & AccPac, ComPen, Everest, CaseWare, etc). Knowledge and experience with SARS efiling & EasyFile for PAYE, VAT, Provisional and Income tax, Knowledge and experience with SARB and FSCA reporting, Good verbal and written communication skills, Ability and experience with the audit and engage with the auditors, Ability to work independently without consistent supervision, Ability to meet deadlines.
