Early Childhood Education Worker
Terms of Employment: Temporary, Full Time, Day
Salary: $12.00 to $14.50 Hourly for 40 hours per week

Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school, Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training, Some university
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Not required
Experience: Experience an asset

Children's Ages: 1 year, 2 years, 3 years, 4 years, 5 years
Experience With Children Who Have Special Needs: Children with an intellectual disability, Children with a mental health disability, Children with behavioural issues
Early Childhood Education Skills: Plan and develop child care and nursery school programs, Provide supervision and guidance of daily activities, field trips and special activities, Provide opportunity for creative expression through the mediums of art, dramatic play and music, Assess the developmental level of children, Prepare progress reports and discuss with parents and other staff members, Establish guidelines for behaviour
Early Childhood Educator Assistant Skills: Conduct and monitor activity programs designed for young children, Prepare craft materials and assist children to use them, Guide children in development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits, Arrange transition periods such as lunch and rest for children, Observe children and report on observations to supervisor
Additional Skills: Assist in maintaining records of children, Leadership skills, Interpersonal skills
Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Child abuse registry check
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilites: Physically demanding, Attention to detail, Bending, crouching, kneeling
Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation
Ability to Supervise: 5-10 people
