Skill Requirements:
Education: Some college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Food and beverage server trade certificate, Customers' service excellence certificate, Wine service certification, Responsible beverage service certification
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
Business Equipment and Computer Applications: Point-of-sale system

Food and Beverage Serving Skills: Serve food and beverages, general plate service, Present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travellers cheques or room billings, Describe menu items including daily specials for customers, Advise on menu selections
Wine and Stewarding/Serving Skills: Describe and advise on wine selection, Present, open, pour and serve wine in appropriate wine glassware, Order and maintain inventory of wines and wine glassware
Additional Skills: Customer service oriented, Address customers' complaints or concerns, Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations, Supervise other servers and bussing staff, Schedule staff, Train staff
