Stock Manager, Other, Cape Flats. An FMCG distributor is looking for a stock manager who will be groomed to eventually grow into a junior area manager position over a 12-18   month period. The areas are in the Cape Town townships, so not for the feint- hearted, and we want someone who has worked in the townships before and more recently.

A polygraph test will be conducted as well as thorough reference checks and a criminal check. No one who has been dismissed or has a record can be considered due to the honesty levels required for this role.

The duties would include, but not be limited to: Daily stock counts and stock audits. Reconciling stock variances and reporting on gaps. Checking store compliance against operational checklists. Emergency deliveries. Standing in for store managers when they go on leave or in the event of a vacancy. Opening and Closing procedures. Receiving deliveries. Staff management. Stock management (dispatch and controls). They would require. Stock management experience of 2 years or more.

Supervisor or team leader experience, at least 18 months. Basic computer Skills. A good track record Willingness to work in the township areas, when delivering  or standing in Preferably some liquor experience (will consider strong candidates without liquor experience). A valid driver’s license.

We will provide a company vehicle for daily duties when the person gets to work Looking for: Flexibility, Can do, make a plan attitude. This contract could go perm after 3 months if you prove suitable for the role, and long term goal of the company. (So you need to display the potential for growth). CTC is up to 20k pm experience dependent with an increase to up to 25k pm should this contract go permanent.
