Live-in Caregiver (Disabled Care)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Day
Salary: $10.19 Hourly for 44 hours per week
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Beaumont, Alberta (1 vacancy)
Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): First Aid Certificate, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Children's Ages: Kindergarten age (4 - 5 years), School age (6 - 12 years)
Experience with Special Needs Children: Person with a disability, Person with an intellectual disability, Person with a mental health disability
Work Setting: Employer's home
Specific Skills: Supervise and care for children, Bathe, dress and feed infants and children, Prepare infants and children for rest periods, Organize, activities such as games and outings for children, Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, Read to children, Prepare and serve nutritious meals, Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties, Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, Tend to emotional well-being of children, Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, Take children to and from school and to appointments
Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Child abuse registry check, Driver's validity licence check
Transportation/Travel Information: Vehicle supplied by employer, Willing to travel, Valid driver's licence, Travel expenses paid by employer, Public transportation is not available
Work Location Information: Work in employer's/client's home, Room and board provided, Urban area

Other Information:Must have 1 year full time experience within the last 3 years. Must reside in the employers home for the duration of employment. Private room provided. Room and board charge of $428.31 per month.
