Description
MARC STRAUS, a contemporary art gallery on the Lower Eastside, is seeking an individual with at least two years of contemporary art gallery experience.
Requirements:
The Gallery Associate must be highly organized with excellent verbal and written skills who can interact professionally and effectively with all art constituencies.
High-level computer proficiency with strong knowledge of ArtBase or equivalent, web and social media, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Experience with art handling and shipping
Responsibilities:
Front desk tasks: greeting visitors, answering phones
Manage inventory and database
Art handling and shipping supervision
Gallery maintenance
Organize consignments and loan agreements
Manage relationships with vendors and order supplies and services
Maintain and update website
Manage calendar
Manage art fair logistics
