CFO, Management Accountant, Worcester, Cape Winelands. Our client, a trusted manufacturer in the building industry, based in Worcester is recruiting for a driven and ambitious CFO. The position reports directly to the CEO/ Owner and will become a key member of the executive team with the purpose to provide financial strategy and strong financial execution.

Responsibility: It will be expected of the successful candidate to advise on plans to achieve growth objectives for the primary business and its sister company, able to advise departments on a monthly basis as to the health of the businesses, and to motivate where improvements or changes should be made.

Key Performance Areas: Coordination of financial strategy, tax strategy, management reporting, forecasting, and budgeting, financial risk management, financing, treasury, cash management and accounting. Provide strategy and hands-on leadership to develop long and short-term financial plans. Able to do analyze, develop and manage to cost structures and specifically product costing.

Accountable for meeting statutory deadlines with specific reference to: PAYE, UIF registrations, BBR, VAT, Provisional taxes, Stats SA, IRP5CIPC annual fee, Maintaining strict financial deadlines.

Completion and presentation of monthly, quarterly, annual financial performance of the business. Able and willing to fulfill the function of debtors and creditors clerk when/if required, but this would not be the primary focus. Coordinates outside (e.g. audit, legal, and tax) services

Qualifications / Experience: Accounting degree and post articles experience. Honours / CA(SA) will be advantageous. 2 to 5 years of accounting and finance experience

Skills and Abilities: Ability to take ownership of responsibilities. Ability to guide the organization with accurate, timely, and purposeful financial management. Strong planning and coordination skills. Proactive communicator, collaborative and results-oriented. Ability to participate in senior management.
