Financial Accountant, Wellington, Cape Winelands. Our client, a supplier of fresh produce and commodities, is seeking the expertise of a Financial Accountant to join their team at their offices in Wellington.

Responsibility: Manage full creditors process on producers. Capturing of produce and related cost elements & related adjustments. Weekly preparations of payments to producers. Sending of payment remittances to producers. Reporting on producer payment summaries. Managing ledgers for any deductions on producer payments. Cashflow management in ZAR & foreign currencies.

Management of foreign currencies related to producer payments. Monthly updating of standard costs & evaluation of under/over recoveries. Invoicing of costs back to producers. Management of Balance sheet items, relating to control accounts on standard cost. Processing of commercial invoices & payments. Monthly report on commercial creditors. Various reporting. Onboarding of new customers and producers. Any other relevant accounting functions as required.

Characteristics: Excellent organizational skills. Energetic and disciplined. Good communication skills. Ability to work cooperative in a team. High attention to detail a pre-requisite. Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Qualification & Experience: BCompt / Btech Degree. 5 Years relevant accounting experience. Completed articles at registered auditing firm. Understanding of the fruit industry would strengthen the application. Computer skills and extensive experience in Excel. Cost accounting & standard cost principles are essential. Forex handling.
