Locomotive Maintenance Manager (Pretoria). My client urgently requires an experienced & qualified Locomotive Maintenance Manager to join their dynamic Maintenance Technical team based in Pretoria. Candidates from outlying provinces will be considered, if willing to relocate at their own cost.

Minimum Essential Qualifications: Matric. Tertiary Qualification (Advantageous). Artisan Red Seal qualified Diesel Electrical Fitter - Essential (Tfr/Tre qualified). Minimum of 10 years’ previous experience with locomotive maintenance (post-qualification). Must have been trained by TRE/TFR (including Apprenticeship). Knowledge of all GE & GM classes of Locomotives (ESSENTIAL). Understanding & knowledge of all locomotive maintenance & service requirements. Strong managerial & supervisory abilities to manage a team of artisans. Solid work history with contactable references.

Must be able to communicate professionally in English & Afrikaans (verbal & written & efficient on reporting abilities). Must be able to manage and coordinate a technical team seamlessly. Proficient in MS Office packages & Pastel / SAP maintenance. Must be highly efficient, reliable, and possess a strong personality to achieve planned targets & maintenance goals and be target-driven to achieve objectives. Must be medically fit to perform role & duties (Medical Fitness test). Valid driver’s license (no endorsements). Own a reliable vehicle.
